Add rows to “Most Popular Sites” tab

This post has been updated and the content has been confirmed to be working with both Internet Explorer 9 and Internet Explorer 10.

Automated:
Download this reg script I wrote. Save it as ‘SomeName.reg’.
If you want 4 rows, just run this script and restart Internet Explorer.
You’ll have 4 rows in your “Most Popular Sites” tab.

If you want more or less rows, download and edit the file in (f.e.) notepad, change the last digit 4 to the amount you want to have.
Save the file and run it.
Restart Internet Explorer.
Now you’ll have the amount of rows you specified in the script, in your “Most Popular Sites” tab.

Manually:
Open regedit and go to
“HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\TabbedBrowsing\NewTabPage”
Add a DWORD (32bit) by the name of “NumRows” if it doesn’t already exist.
The value you give to “NumRows” will be the amount of rows visible in your New Tab/MostPopular Sites tab.

Be sure to restart Internet Explorer to see the changes.
